Fresh off the overwhelming success of the inaugural year of the Slapshots Hockey Academy Summer League (SHASL), we are back for a second year of what proves to be another strong, competitive and organized league. Unlike most summer leagues which often lack parity amongst teams, the SHASL carefully places players, groups of players or even teams by skill level creating a competitive balance and almost eliminating lopsided scores! Last year the average score in our Mite Division was 4 - 2 and the average score in our Squirt Division was 6 - 4! This year we will continue to run our Mite and Squirt Division and based on demand, we will explore the possibility of adding a Pee Wee Division.
Last year, I had to turn away approximately 30 players across both divisions so please email me as soon as possible if you are interested in having your son or daughter participate.
Remember, summer leagues are about having fun and ensuring that your son/daughter has an enjoyable and positive experience. The SHASL prides itself on living up to that expectation. Attached is the flyer and application. Please feel free to pass this on to your friends.
